Care for the vulnerable, education and plan of care is an important responsibility of the professional registered nurse. The nurse must also obtain and remain regulated by the Board of Nursing. The health professions continue to expand technical, social, and ethical practice. Many members currently responsible for the nursing professional have not been participants of nursing within this modern progressive health care environment.

The profession of nursing is currently steered to the business of education by institutions. Some have a tuition as high as $80,000.

The Crown Act

We do not need another law or rule as much as we need humanity. It is unfortunate that a law must be passed to not act bias toward people that have hair and chose to style their hair which is beneficial to them. Education should not be the arena where children are put out of school or unable to participate in sports activities because of their natural hair.

People not of color have never been barred from activities because their ponytails may hit someone in the face, or they failed to shampoo their hair which has a greasy, offensive odor.
